Повечето от песничките им са супер лесни но много ефектни.

Ами първите им албуми китарата е Фендър Стратокастър, а от новия албум са с Гибсън Лес Пол Джуниър. Това го знам със сигурност, за ефекти не мога да ти кажа със сигурност

Чейна им е доста грим. заличаващ дефектите на лицето => модерни прически => модерни дрешки и обувчици => защитнта на бедните деца в Африка => благотворителност => екозащита => много комерс.

 

Това в последно време. Преди не бяха толкова комерсиални, та да ми се натрапят чак на мен, дето съм толкова далече от тая музика.

Billie Joe received his first guitar, a Fernandes Stratocaster copy named "Blue", when he was ten from his mother. At the age of 12, he modified the guitar to have a a humbucking pickup in the bridge position. He initially installed a Bill Lawrence pickup but later switched to the Duncan Jeff Beck model. He toured with this guitar from the band's early days and into their first few major-label tours but currently the original guitar is mainly used for recording. "Blue" also appears in several of their music videos (e.g.: "Basket Case", "Stuck With Me", "Longview", "Geek Stink Breath", "Hitchin' a Ride" and "Minority)". Billie has made several replicas of this guitar and uses them at concerts. Since the Warning tour, Billie Joe has switched to using mainly vintage Les Paul Juniors. A sunburst color 1950s Les Paul Junior named "Floyd" is his current guitar of choice. Gibson is releasing a line of Billie Joe signature guitars modeled off "Floyd".

He currently uses a modified Marshall Superlead as his amp, but has also used Hiwatt amplifiers in the past. His amps have been severely modified by Bob Bradshaw. American Idiot was the first album he used pedals for.
